Have a refrigerator that won't defrost,  Heater has good resistance, defrost limit is culprit, no continuity.  Want to check ADC, how do I initiate defrost  cycle?    Manual controls, 2 thermostats.

So if it does not initiate?   & I do not get 120v out of E1 Bad Control board?     Also looking at replacement board, looks like board in plastic box, original not.  Also new harness must be wired in.   Mostly positive problem is in limit, encased in ice & no continuity.

1) assuming Wall Outlet polarity is correct

2) seems they had a problem with the original design

3) may not go into Defrost if it "thinks" the Limit is too warm

did you jumper the Limit before trying "forced Defrost" ? :whistling:
