Ge downdraft vent model JVB37H1WW switch

3 posts in this topic

I need to replace the up/down membrane switch on this vent. GE no longer supplies the kit that consisted of the switch, top trim and lead wire harness. They are piecing it out. The white top trim is held on by adhesive tape. Can the membrane switch be changed seperaly without removing the top trim?

I'm not sure I understand..but apparently, based on a response to a question found in the second link below,  the switch has a new design.and the needed parts  are http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Touchpad/WB24X10114/1086005 and http://www.appliancepartspros.com/answers-for-ge-lead-wire-jumper-wb18x10224-ap3205966-question-75227.html

not sure if that relates to the info you are looking for or not.

Ok, thanks. I am just going to quote these two parts plus the top trim. The trim is about $250, that is why I asked. Appreciate the response.
