Movement between axle and drum

1 post in this topic

The washing machine is a Miele W1926

Is the axle and the drum in typical washing machine one piece? Or can these parts be replaced exclusive of the other?

What I had thought was another bearing failure has turned out to be movement between the axle and the drum. I did not open up the suds container but if people tell me that the drum and axle are one piece, I will probably return the bearing kit and just buy a new unit. . .
