LG refrigerator water filter replacement

5 posts in this topic

Hi all,

I have an LG lfx31925 refrigerator with the factory (oem) water filter. I've replaced twice before without problems, but this time the filter won't rotate back up into the housing.

I called LG and they couldn't figure anything out over the phone. I see nothing broken. The old filter won't go back in, either. I found a spring on the right side (as you face it) and tried to rotate the housing while pressing it. No luck.

Anything else I should try? The manifold just seems locked in place and I don't want to push too hard for obvious reasons.

Thanks,

Boz

Try installing the replacement Filter with *real effort*.

I've had a few that took more than a little force to seat/turn.

I just looked up a picture of it. Gotta wonder why they had to hinge it.
