Frigidaire range PLGFZ390ECE control overlay

7 posts in this topic

Serviced this range where the clock overlay had blistered. This overlay/touchpad has a ribbon connector attached to the control. Lookup info shows an overlay and clock control. Replacement overlay has no ribbon connector. Do i need to also change the clock now? No mention on marcone website or lookup info. Anybody run into this?

Need appliance parts? Call 877-803-7957 now!

Yep that is it. I thought the overlay seen on the front was part of the seperate black overlay like a traditional keypad. Time for a small revision with the estimate.

Thanks reg.

Ok, who knows what an F11 is on this model? Changed the overlay and it worked good. Maybe clock control?

F11 Shorted Keypad

1. (F10 only) Check RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect
power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating
may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive.
2. (F11, 12 & 13) Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power.
3. (F11, 12 & 13) If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC.

(Keypad is part of the Controller)

Are you saying it is working OK now after you replaced just the plastic overlay?

And before you replaced the overlay only it was giving the F11 - shorted keypad error?

If YES to both of above, maybe the overlay was collapsed at one or more heavily used keys causing a slight constant press of the keypad spot below the overlay?

Original overlay was very warped and blistered causing the self clean pad to occasionaly make contact causing random self clean. There was alot of grease under the overlay. I replaced only the overlay and cleaned the clock contact pads under the overlay. Since F11 is a shoprted keypad then i am going to change the clock with another overlay. This should do it. Thanks.
