All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Rowenta Steamer IS 7500 not steaming

How is steamer hose removed?  Steamer seems to heat, but no steam (almost none) comes out.  Right now trying to get hose off to reach generator to see if scale is cause of no steam.  Have heard to be exceedingly careful with O-Ring, and am a little nervous avoid any damage.  No diagram can be found on line, so flying blind.  Any help appreciated...

I wouldn't think repair information is out there for something like this. I have been using steamers for 7 years. I'm on my 4th one. The one I bought new was expensive(stainless steel tank) and the support in the manual consisted of disposal instructions. Sounds like yours has a broken valve. Usually a cheap plastic plunger with O-rings activated by another cheap plastic piece supported by more cheap plastic. Every part specific to that model.

People buy these and hardly use them. I'll find another one on Craigslist when my current one breaks. If it's a garment steamer is what you want, I see the jiffy brand on craigslist a lot. They may be serviceable.
