Coleman EB15B electric furnace

Another great learning experience :) My sister called me because her furnace was making a weird noise even though it wasn't calling for heat. Low and behold I find one of the heater packs kicking on and off. It appears the sequencer contact may be stuck keeping power to it. Well the top coil pack is a 9.8k. I noticed the bottom coik pack is a 4.8k and isn't even wired up. I'm assuming that it wasn't wired because it is a 51, 000 btu furnace and she lives a singlewide trailer. 51, 000 btu would be a bit much I think. Would I be correct? I removed the wire from the bad sequencer and tried to hookup the bottom coil. Low and behold that sequencer wasn't closing to energize the heater. Well in the mean time I just left her with one 4.8k running until I get the sequencer assembly. It seemed to be keeping it warm when I left. I got to thinking after I left maybe I should check that heater out too incase the constant voltage took it out from repeatedly trying to start with no airflow. I would think the limit would prevent that though. Anything I may have missed? I went to school for HVAC, and I have ran quite a few a/c calls for friends and family. It's rare I get heating calls. I just fixed my cousins heat pump last week too :)

Temps outside got down in the low 30s last night and her house stayed warm. I should have the sequencer assembly by Thursday. Should I just hook it up like it was with the 9.8k heater coil or hook all 3 coils up. 51, 000 btu is probably to much for a single wide right? I imagine it would be better to just run the 9.8k and use less electricity. Shoot it's working with just a 4.8k coil hooked up now. That probably makes it run longer though.

The sequencers if correctly sized stage the heaters at several minute intervals so you can provide more than required btu's at heaters and it will stage them until demand is satisfied. Hook them up following included schematic.

Mkay. I was just thinking using all 3 would be over kill and using more electricity.
