Kenmore Dryer Model #110.73954100

3 posts in this topic

Got a dryer that when you hit the start button machine starts, but when you let go, it stops.

I haven't encountered this problem in a long time, but I kind of think it turned out to be the thermistor next to the thermostat.

Anyone seen this lately??

Ah, the joys of the Even Heat dryers.  It will either be a bad motor relay or a bad control board.  Swap out the motor relay and the heater relay in the control panel (they're the same part) and see if the dryer starts and runs normally.  If so, replace the motor relay Part number: AP3037419

Part number: AP3037419

If the problem persists, replace the Even Heat board Part number: AP4319168

Part number: AP4319168
