anybody have information on becoming a certified service company to repair mixers

As far as "certified" I wouldn't waste your time. I'd put the word out that you are willing to work on them and even call around to some places that sell them and start there. Over here I spoke with Williams Sonoma and they said they didn't know of anyone who would even look at them so I gave them my info. I've found that most people won't spend $75 on them to fix it and I understand but I do still get one in the garage from time to time.
