All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Most likely a problem with the lid switch, the commercial washers won't do anything except turn on the cycle indicator lights if the lid isn't closed.

Check for proper polarity and a good ground at the wall outlet.

Do test #1, main control as described in the tech sheet. May need a new shifter or control.

I have a coin-op machine on which I just replaced the motor and control board because a motor bearing went out and the control board would not work after I replaced the motor. After replacing said parts, I could test the washer but it wouldn’t run a cycle after operating the coin slide switch and pressing start. I followed the tech sheet and performed every applicable test (which checked out) and still nothing. I removed the jumper wire on the interface control board that changes it from  “pay” to  “no pay” and was able to run a load that way. Do I need to replace the interface board or is there another issue? (I also tested the coin slide switch on another machine and it works fine and all my connections to the new main control board are connected and secure.)

Is your model number the same as this old topic? You may want to start your own topic with your model number and symptoms so we can keep separate topics separate- keep things organized.
