gpc1324h41 don't match electric heater connection

Hi, I wondering if  this is a common problem with goodman.? I installed a goodman package unit for my brother in law, model #gpc1324h41 and electric heater #wg00502b and the  5 wire connector are not the same. I asked sales clerk about it and he said they never do, and told me to splice the wires. It's a 5 kwatt heater. Not sure if I am able to get a heater with the same connector or should I just cut and connect wires with electric wire nuts?
