All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

Need a wiring diagram or techsheet for:

GE SxS refrig

Mod# TFX27FKC

Ser# MZ219463

Only part number listed for a manual on the parts break-down is 49-6405 Dispenser mini-manual, I don't know if this is only for the dispenser system or if it is the complete techsheet with wiring diagram.

Also, can anyone tell me how to search this forum for a manual number such as above 49-6405 without getting hundreds of irelavant post?

Search download for above you get only 2 entries that have nothing to do with the above number except one has "-49" and the other "49."

Search forum and get 10 pages, 227 entries that seem pretty much useless, (except the first entry is now this post).

try eliminating the numbers/letters that are before the dash/decimal point and replace the dash/decimal point with an asterisk.... so in your case... *6405.

Sometimes you have to use the asterisk before and after... let's say there is an LG made kenmore model no.  795.72025st.....search using *72025*

hope that helps

Yes, the ninja search asterisk is a double-edged sword that cuts both ways!

Great info, I never thought to try the asterisk at the start of a search string, (thought it was only for after).

But, still - anyone got a wiring diagram for me!!!   I know GE is harder to find and this is an old unit (1987).

Also the GE stash of info now has it's sub directories locked and the few that saved them have them as gaint zip files or just Dropbox were I couldn't really seem to make much use of.

Thank you very much, that should cover it - these are all basically the same or close enough that I will be able to figure it out if it's not something simple.

No water dispensing and no ice dispensing - going to probably be broken wires at the door hinge or bad freezer door interlock switch.

Thanks Samurai.

Any chance you might have 49-6405 Dispenser mini-manual also, it just covers the complete dispenser area, (Power module, cube and dispenser light relays)?  I don't think I'm going to really need it but would be nice to have just in case.

Are you sure that's the complete and correct PUB number? I'm not finding anything that matches that.
