All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom

LG WM2016CW front load washer

I'm having a problem with my LG WM2016CW front load washer.  I am receiving the LE error code.  I have replaced the sensor (apparently the most likely cause of the LE code) and motor harness and still am having issues.  The washer goes through part of a cycle and drum will spin before the error hits.  After I replaced the motor harness, I ran an empty load and it made it all the way through.  Tried with a small load and it made it through to the rinse cycle before the LE error appeared.  Any suggestions would be appreciated

Was the sensor verified to be bad? Did you test it?

I have heard that some people have installed them incorrectly. There are 3 tabs that  click onto the stator. It can be installed incorrectly on only two of the tabs.

I'd double check that and all wire connections.  If you don't find anything you'll need a multimeter to do some tests on the sensor.

Best of luck!

Verify correct type of detergent is used ("HE" type)

Verify correct dosage is being used...

HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Load

HE 2X (double concentrated detergent): (1) Tablespoon Per Load

HE 3X: (triple concentrated): (1) Teaspoon Per Load

Incorrect type or amount of detergent will trigger an "LE" error---at the *rinse* portion of the cycle.

Thanks for the feedback.

* I did not confirm that the sensor was bad.  It appeared that this was the number one culprit so I just replaced it - very small investment.

* I've always been stingy with the HE detergent, so that isn't an issue either.

* I rec'd the new control board and installed it.  I've successfully run one quick cycle and I'm half way through a full cycle with no LE error code - fingers crossed that this solves my issue.
