If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

BakersPride 36BPV6B30N -- pilots and burners

Customer complaint was "erratic high flames".

I was unable to replicate that complaint, but did notice that some of the burners held onto the flame after the gas was shut off.

Only one of the pilots looked correct. One would not ignite, one dead one did reignite, and the others had only one or two flames in the four flame spread.

My plan is to replace the pilot orifices and the two center burners, which are the ones that tended to "hold" the flame. I talked to BakersPride tech and they suggested replacing both those burners as well.

Has anyone worked on these? I have not worked on this kind of stove before.

Resolution here -- did not replace burners. Replaced orifices and the tubing from the manifold to the orifices. Tested for operation. Tested okay. Showed customer how to use a needle to clean out jets on burners, advised against using cleaning chemicals.

I spent most of my teens and twenty's slinging pizza's into a Bakers Pride oven. Oh I fun I had lighting the oven hoping not to loose any facial hair :burnin:
