All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Whirlpool dishwasher GU2700XTSS1 Trouble installing motor pump assembly.

Recommended Posts

Got the new pump/motor assembly set into the tub, but I'm stuck there.  I can press the assembly into the tub, with a lot of difficulty (only one of my arms works because of an accident) but once it's pressed in, it just pops back up.  It won't stay long enough for me to get to the underside and put the push in clips back.

I cleaned the flange really well and put a little soap on the gasket and flange and it's still hard to push in.  I'm sure this is the right assembly:  whirlpool-pump-motor-wpw10780877 from appliance parts pro.  Does anyone have a suggestion?  All the vids show it going in and staying in.   Failing that, does anyone recommend a repair guy near my zip code: 23002?

I put my tool bag on top of the sump assy after I push the sump into place so that the weight of the tools holds the sump assy down long enough for me to reach under the dishwasher and insert the three sump tabs into their slots

Putting soap on it is where you messed up, lol. If you install them dry(much harder to push in) they usually don't pop back up long enough for you to get under it.
