If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Does it agitate?  If so it could be the mounting block.Part number: AP6008836

Part number: AP6008836

You can remove the washer case and observe the action of the clutch and brake.  It is possible you have a problem with one of them.  Remove the case and jump the lid switch and put the washer in spin to see what is actually going on.

Get eyes on the drive train. Could be the brake or the clutch. Could also be a bad coupling. Could also br the drive block i linked to.  You really need to open it up and get a look.

Or the neck of the spin tub is rusted out and it is making contact with the outer washtub... a sock between the tubs can also act this way. I agree that the cabinet needs to come off so you can see if the clutch housing is rotating...

Lid switch?

if it agitates motor coupling ok.

Not necessarily true.  I've seen a cracked coupling work when it agitates but slip and not have enough grip to spin.  Rare but could happen.  He says it sounds like it wants to spin but won't for some reason, hence I don't think lid switch.I Still say you need to get eyes on the drive train to really get to the problem.

Fair enough, but I'd still test lid switch first. It's on top and easy to access.
