All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Hello sir,

I seek your resources.

Also, it is an combined with a wall oven.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to remove the trim to remove the microwave.

I don't see any screws and i'll bet I'm going to need my hand putty knife.

Any suggestions on that would be fantastic, and i'll further scour the Kitchen Forum

Thank you

Kevin Koontz

ps- I'd like to contribute this service bulletin I just found for Trim Kit install.

https://media3.bsh-group.com/Documents/9000999546_D.pdf

Pg11 makes it appear that the trim just snaps on. I dont see tabs to depress, do I just pull at it?

With the combo wall oven/microwaves, the trim kit is held in by screws from the back. So you need to pull the whole oven out to get at them. The instructions you linked aren't applicable here, those are for standalone microwaves only.

By the way here is your tech info:

Service manual:

Are you sure you watched the video? I found the above in a few seconds using the search procedure in the video. Also for future reference, better to keep posts in this forum to manual requests only, and then put repair questions in the kitchen/laundry forums.

Yeah, I just replaced a mag in one of these today. The trim is the least PITA part of repairing this microwave. To get the shroud off you need to completely remove the oven and microwave to access the sides and backs to take off several brackets.
