All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

Hey guys, I'm working on a frigidaire window a/c and I'm trying to get the voltage to the display board. From the main board to display does not say on wiring diagram. No service manual either. Any suggestions?

Sorry it's FRA156mt112! Service manual or what voltage should come from main board to display board? What pins? Thank you!

The wire diagram for this thing is a joke. Looks like cn1 goes from the main board to the display board. If it were mine I would confirm that you have 120vac at the main board between ry7 3 and p8. Next I would check for 5-12vdc to the display board on cn1. If I am getting stable power to the display board and it is not lighting up then I would replace the display board. If I did not have power to the display board or it quickly disappeared I would want to check the transformer connected to cn5 and cn6 but they do not give any details on the windings so I would check voltages going in and out.

Yes I have that but what voltage should the display board have from the main control board? DC?

Yeah I know, it's frustrating when you can't get the details. Frigidaire wont release any info unless you pay for service!
