All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.

GE PROFILE PSW23PSTBSS

Tried searching the forums for this but didn't come up with anything on this model#...GE Profile PSW23PSTBSS, display temperatures don't match what my fluke thermometers show. Freezer display shows 4 degrees F, fluke shows -6, at times there is at least a 10 degree difference in the refrigerator display (warmer) and my fluke (showing colder). Took out both thermistors in freezer and 2 of the 3 out of the refrigerator (did not pull the custom cool drawer thermistor) and all read 13.x kohms in ice water, and all read 5.x kohms at room temperature. Since they read so close at both temperatures I am leaning on the thermistors being good. Being that my refrigeration system is working properly, all fans are working, is this a main board issue as I am suspecting? Unable to locate any information on actual temperature to ohms readings for these thermistors in print, found a sheet behind the front lower cover but it does not contain information on the thermistors. This thing with its motherboard, inverter driven compressor, thermistors, fan speed variation and fan cycle delay seems as complicated as the industrial ammonia refrigeration systems I work on, way too complicated for a home refrigerator. Thanks

Need to check all thermistors from the board without opening the doors so you can test at operating temps.

I wouldn't make an issue of the thermometer not matching the display temps... is the food in the fridge the correct temp? Milk keeping?

Freezers always fluctuate between 10 and 0 degrees F during defrost cycles and off cycles... that is normal operating range.
