Frigidaire LFUS2613LP0 Iced Damper/Vent

Hello,

I got this fridge used recently. Since I got it the alarm has been going continually and the temps have been fluctuating. The relay starter on compressor was changed and after that the alarm would go off only couple of times a day. Recently I noticed that the vent where I assume the damper is has some frost/ice on it. I checked the door gaskets and they seem to be sealing good. Another issue that I have is that the temps on the freezer fluctuate it drops below 0 up to -10 or goes to 10 F or so.... The fresh food side seems to stay constant only varies a few degrees. Issue is that the display would show up a different number than what the thermometer stays.... The freezer and fridge are both cooling except for this temp changes, havent noticed any warm food or spoiled food. Also I noticed that there's water drops on the ice dispenser. We dont have water connected to the fridge and ice maker is off. What could be the issue? Is it hard to find the freezer thermistor? Do I need to remove any covers? Im thinking about testing thermistors before replacing the board. Hope someone can help.

Sit tight- if the temps are good, nothing is wrong. A thermometer sitting on a shelf in the machine is not an accurate indicator.

Freezer temps will fluctuate, especially during defrost, but if it is at least 10 degrees or below, that is fine.

Should I be worried about the display showing something totally different like for example it will show that the temp on fresh food is at 43 or 50 degrees (on display)? Im worried that the fridge may be working more because the control thinks that the temp is at something else...

If the display reads 43, then use a meat thermometer and put it in the jelly or mustard and measure what the actual food temp is- if there is an obvious mismatch between actual and displayed temps- then test the thermistors. If there is condensation on the dispenser door, be sure it is closing flush and not allowing warm air into the freezer. If the diffuser seems frosty, it may be frozen mostly closed causing warm temps in the fridge...  Chances are there IS something wrong with the unit, that is the primary reason people get rid of refrigerators...
