All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, March 30 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. has anyone compiled all the tech sheets, manuals and etc and made them into one download or do you have to download each separately?

Aside from this being impossible from an information gathering standpoint, such a download would be a humoungous file that would take half a day to download. And it would quickly go out of date as new models and literature are released.

Search the Downloads as shown in the video and download what you need, as you need it. The site is mobile friendly, too.

If you can't find a manual you need after searching, just post a request in the appliance service manual requests forum

Moving this topic to the Appliantology Resources and Help Center forum.

the problem with that is some customers don't know their model numbers and have crappy service or no service at their location lol. I have verizon wireless service.

I always pre-diagnose and insist on the model number before I go. This increases likelihood of first call complete. Generally, customers who can't give you a model number do not turn out to be good customers (price complaints, unpleasant, etc). Only exceptions are for high end appliances (Wolf, Dacor, etc).

If customers can't get me a model number then they are told that If I have to come out and get the model number and I am unable to repair it in the first visit then they will be charged an extra service call & mileage for that. After being told that then they are able to find the model number.

The only ones that I make exception to are the elderly. I find that most of the elderly in our area have Whirlpool brand appliances. I have a Service Matters subscription so I am able to pull their tech sheet up onsite. When I go to an elderly persons house I take pictures of all of their appliances & model numbers. When I get back to the office I enter all of their appliances & model numbers into my data base so that we have it in case they call back on something. I also do this for people with weekend homes since they usually don't call until they get back to their first home.
