Amana Dishwasher

I was working on an Amana/Whirlpool dishwasher and the "Hi Temp" button did not light up when pressed and the customer said that the water was not getting hot enough and therefore not washing the dishes properly, I put the dishwasher into diagnostic mode and the heater turned on so that verifies that the heater is working I took out the control board and tested the high temp button and it had continuity when I pushed it could it be that the control board is not sending voltage to the heater during the wash cycle?
Please help me with the diagnosis and recommended repairs.

I'd question the validity of this statement.

Have you checked the temp during a regular cycle?  If she is concerned about the light not working I would start by replacing the user interface. Weather or not it's telling the board your selection, it could be confusing knowing weather it is turned on or off.

You model number is no good. The closest I could find to it is ADB1000AWB1

The extra zero is an easy typo but the 5 on the end has me confused because it does not pull up on the whirlpool site.

Something is really wrong with the model number it would seem, the closest I found was also the same as JohnTech but that can't be it because that is a mechanical timer model.

NJ, there are some cycles on most computer controlled dishwashers that certain option modifiers can't be used with, (IE: Quick Rinse cycle usually won't take any other options, China cycles usually won't let you use the HI-Temp Wash but will still let you use a SANI or HIGH Temp RINSE if you have the separate Hi Temp Wash and HI Temp Rinse options).

If they are trying to use the NORMAL cycle I'm pretty sure it should let them use any of the option modifiers available on the control panel.
