GE Profile Refrigerator cold by not where it should be

Recommended Posts

I have a GE profile Fridge (circa 2004), Model PSS26SGRB SS.

It gets cold but recently it does not seem that cold.  Indicators on fridge say its 0 for the freezer and 41 for the fridge. Had some ice cream melt so doubt both settings. Have set point for each below both values.

Cleaned coil this morning which did not change a thing.

Any other tips to even start me off ? My biggest concern is that both temps appear wrong but that could be a false alarm.

Thanks,

Glen

Thanks for comments.

As a follow up.  The evaporator  fan was not spinning.  The thermostat of for the freezer was near the coils but the air was not moving anywhere.  This resulted in the freezer reading 0 but in fact the compartment itself was not (fridge side was roasting as well).  Replaced the fan  and it all has worked find since.

Thank you once again .
