Hey guys, checking online finding where it says you have to buy the sump housing and that they don't sell the shaft seal for the diverter motor.

Is that the case?  Any aftermarket solutions out there?

Thanks ahead.

The seal was W10195677 ,  but seems to be NLA . Not sure why they don't show it on the breakdown. Might still find some old stock floating around.

Yeah, the USED to sell the seal separately, but as mentioned above, is NLA, You are better off to replace the sump assembly anyway. Ensure that the diverter motor is not damaged/corroded from the leak.

Thanks guys.  I measured it up and I'm going to try an automotive lip seal in size 6x16x5.

I found a reference to someone doing that on another forum....for $6, worth a try first.

Leak just started, but it is going right on the diverter motor, so we'll see how long that lasts....

I'll report back the results of the lip seal for future reference.

So sumps are the best way to repair this?I am returning on a call that another company went out and put a diverter on and now the seal is leaking. It has a new diverter but it’s pouring water past the seal.  I would hate to put in another seal from an automotive store.

My opinion you save customer money by going with seal but increase your risk.

id quote sump.
