All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

RF23HCEDBWW/AA. Ice maker only drops ice if reset button pressed. When pressed drops a few cubes then beeps a few minutes later and no more cubes unless pressed again.

If it's dropping only a few cubes, something's wrong. Are there cubes left in the ice maker after it cycles? (You can use a light and mirror to inspect it). If it's only making a few cubes at a time, there low water pressure so the ice tray is not filling completely. The beep you hear after you cycle the ice maker manually means the water has finished filling the ice maker.

There is a bulletin out on this one, see if there is air leaking into the ice room from a gap between the wall and the ice room.

Well if the water pressure is good, check the temperature of the ice room. You'll have to do this quickly. Leave a fridge thermometer in the ice room for several hours. It needs to read below 17 degrees or the ice maker won't cycle. Also use a magnet and locate the read switch on the top cover where the left door closes and apply the magnet to that sweet spot until the internal lights go out. With the left door open and the ice bucket removed, In about 5-10 seconds you should hear the ice room fan come on. If you don't hear anything, shine a flash light in behind the ice maker and see if there's ice and frost build up on the back of the ice maker or fan area. If there is, you have a major problem to correct...

It seems fixed. I think from it being unplugged for a bit. If it starts again I'll return to thread.  Thanks
