All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom

MAH6700AWW control board

I have a MAH6700AWW which was made by Samsung for Maytag.  The washer will not drain.  The drain pump was not getting power.  Pulling the control board, I find it potted in goo, and it might be hard to go after the relay.  Furthermore, there is some burnt goo in the power area of the board.

The board is unobtainium.  I have found other boards, like the control board for a MAH8700AWW, which the seller says will fit.  But there is a different size display and the functions are different.  I don't know how to configure the 8700 board to work in my model.

The board I am looking for is a 34001479.  Any ideas on substitutions, etc.?

Thanks.

If the board is not the same it will not work i have seen people use a similar board from the same family of machines  line a 6700 board in a 8700 machine.some functions stop working, but basic functions work. I would rebuild or get a used one.

Did you try Ebay. I searched and found 2 but probably would be as cheap to have it rebuilt if you can absorb the down time.

The rebuilders can’t repair these because they are “potted” in whatever that rubber goo is. No one has found a way to remove it cost effectively without damaging the board.
