Fridge trips GFCI every 6-8 hours

Hi-

I have an older model KitchenAid refrigerator freezer upright that continuously trips a garage GFCI outlet. Once the GFCI outlet is reset it generally takes 6 to 8 hours to trip again. I've isolated the outlet to ensure the outlet is still in working condition. My assumption is the compressor is overloading the outlet but I'd like more information on further determinations if possible. Thank you very much for your help.

Also, this refrigerator has been plugged into this Outlet for 5 years along with another refrigerator and we've never had any problems until this week

Thanks Samarai.  The thought in this video seems to be a bit generalized considering my positive history over the last couple of decades with GFCI and refrigerated appliances. I've always had them, always been hooked up gfcis but haven't had this problem. That said, you're not on site to test my refrigerator. In lieu of that, any other more specific troubleshooting options you can offer? Greatly appreciate the time

You could Run an extension cord to a non-gfci circuit and see if problem goes away.

Not really relistic, but. Get mini GFCI breakers and have them  in differnt parts of the fridge :

compressor. Heater, controls, fans etc.

and  then see shich one trips..... that would be the issue.
