This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Recommended Posts

Manufacturer: Samsung
Type of Appliance: Refrigerator
Model Number: RF28HFEDBSR/AA0001
Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): Yes
Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): Yes

Customer tried to solve Ice Room freezing problem with a heat gun. I am trying to locate the replacement part number of the melted component. I have looked at parts breakdowns I could find and have not found a part number. Any help from the wise participants of this great site would be appreciated.

Thank You.

If you found the right parts diagram and it’s not listed then it’s unlikely going to be available

is the part removable ?

your only choice may be a scrapped unit

The ice maker works but is not aligned correctly and water from the fill tube is splashing out causing ice buildup to block air from the fan causing no ice production.

The part does look removable with 3 screws holding it on.

I will search for dead unit.

Thanks for your help.

The ice room is damaged, it's part of the cabinet, non-serviceable part. Here are pixs of a ice maker I had a very hard time removing from a Samsung's top of the line 4-door refrigerator, this refrigerator has the large LCD panel in door and has the processing power of a small laptop and the owner torched it with some sort of hair dryer/heat gun.
