This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Thermador RDDS30VRS - Manuals and Troubleshooting Help Please

Hello all.   I just bought a new house, and it has the Thermador RDDS30VRS oven.   I live way in the country, and have discovered that no one wants to drive here to service my oven.

My left rear burner isn't working, and the "regular repair guy" couldn't get it working.

He says the gaskets under each burner need to be replaced.

The clock isn't showing.

And, we can't even tell if the system is working.

I could really use all of the manuals that exist for this, and any hints.   Also, anyone know a good place to buy repair parts, such as above?

I tried the download section but it would not download.

Thanks,

   Bob Cymbalski

1st off to avoid confusion. This is not an OVEN. It is a range. ( an oven has no cooking surface)

You need to be a member to download. Downloads are not for Home Owners since we dont know their limits, and they could get into trouble.

You generally just need a wire diagram which should be on the unit somewhere.

Even with no diagrams you should be able to tell if power gets to the clock unit at all  if no power there clock is likely bad can be rebuilt like at corecentrics or something, but  is NLA.

The burners have an electrical switch at the valve that  turns on the spark, and opens an electrical solenoid valve to let the gas in.

do yo have spark? Do you have gas? We need more inffo. Often they are just dirty.

Gaskets don’t have much to do with function, just staying clean  really.

Thanks

Clock.  Very very dim.   Sent to Canada to be repay

Thermador service says $300 trip charge plus plus just to show up

Yes.  All four burners spark.  Three light.  Local tech did everything he could figure out.

Thanks
