All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

WHSE5240D1WW Fill issues

Recommended Posts

My GE washer, WHSE5240D1WW, will fill normally and run through cycles normally But only on small setting. If on anything larger, it'll work until it hits the rinse cycle and then I'll dispense very little and will stop altogether after what looks like a gallon of water (less than the small setting's amount of water). Thoughts?

There is a service bulletin that may pertain. Need to remove pressure hose at tub and clear port with small drill bit.

yeah there is a bulletin out on this as ED mentioned.  You need to clear the flash chamber on the lower right rear of the tub at the end of the water pressure hose line.   pull up the error code history before you get to involved with other stuff.  it may lead you to the problem area quicker.

Thank you.  Are we talking about the no spin issue now or still the filling issue because I was about to resolve the no fill issue with a new inlet valve but now it won't spin

not sure why you needed to change the valve. the valve can be ohm checked or live checked during any of the fill processes to check that.  since you have already replaced that valve I was assuming you were talking about the spin issue. Pull up the error code history from the diagnostic sheet in the console. I would start there first after clearing the flash chamber as Ed mentioned if that does not fix the spin issue you are having at the moment now.  good luck ok. i'm going to bed . It's late and i'm Tired

Attempted to clear the flash chamber using the drill bit as suggested but nothing really seemed clogged. Then I went into diagnostic mode. Getting an error code for the push button... Otherwise, works on all cycles during diagnostic, except spin.
