This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Where did you buy main board?

because it sounds like you put bad board in.

It may be time to call a certified LG tech.

ebr73248501 from electronic services and parts

Can it though? Because it's supposed to be getting power and clicks from the control board which the old pcb didn't do

And 6201EC2002J from repair clinic

@john63 asked for the serial number. Which is very important with LG products, there could be a service bulletin on your unit.

Please provide serial number.

  • 2 weeks later...

If the serial number had been...111Kxxxxxxx...

(November 2011 build date)

There is a service bulletin for a complaint of "dead washer". No power.

Yours was built September 2011...not a match.

Test voltage at the Noise Filter...remove pink plug...verify 120v at Noise Filter.

If power is coming out of the filter...likely a dud new Main Board.

Another possibility...

After November 2011...the software was changed to version 20 (V20).

If you still have the original Main Board...look at the part number sticker...the software version number is listed. May be a "V18" or lower number.

What is the software version on the new main board?

In some cases...when an update has been done...software incompatibilty between the main and display board can cause a problem.

What is the *original* part number on the Main Board that was replaced?

The new Main Board that you purchased should have the following part number...

EBR75131701
