check the door switch for the freezer and make sure its working correctly.  If the door switch is not working properly and the control board thinks the door is open , it will shut off all power to the ice maker .  Also pop off the front of the ice maker , then make up a jumper wire and jump from the hole marked T   to   the hole marked  H  on the ice maker module.  with the jumper wires in the 2 holes all the way in,  hold in the freezer door switch at the same time.  The white ice maker gear facing you on the ice maker module should start to turn clock wise.  hold in the door switch till you hear a clicking sound from the ice maker module listen carefully as it can be hard to hear.   once you hear the click you can remove the jumper wire . make sure you keep your finger on the door switch and remove the jumper wire. (important !!)     now the ice maker will cycle and harvest the ice.   Keeping the door switch in will keep the power to the ice maker and you can observe the operation of the ice maker. once the fingers cycle around to about 12:00  you should hear the water inlet valve cycle on and then water will go into the ice maker. If water does not go in then additional checks will need to be made . It can get a little complicated      If the white gear is not moving at this point after you have heard the click and removed the jumper and still holding in the door switch, then the ice maker is most likely bad.  usually you can see a tiny move ment of the ice maker gear or a funny sound from the ice maker but the gear is still not moving.    Thats the quickest way to see if the power is getting to the ice maker for inspection.  There is also a line fuse that goes to the ice maker also that will need to be checked if there is no power to the ice maker also.  These are checks that a qualified tech needs to verify so if your not to electrically savy with electrical meter checks , I highly suggest you have someone who knows how to do a procedural ice maker check.   If the ice maker does not work and the white gear is not moving after you do what I mentioned. You have to also verify there is power going to the ice maker module also.  That way you can verify its the ice maker that has the problem with the no ice production.  Also the freezer needs to be below 10 Degrees farenheit to properly work and function also.   Good luck

No noise, or gear movement with jumper wire in place. Used a meter and was unable to get any life. Gambled and bought a replacement icemaker. (never located or checked in-line fuse) 10 minute changeout by removing freezer door, and reaching in with screw gun. 20 hours later the tray is 3/4 full of ice. Expertise much appreciated Darren.
