From Grasshoppah to Senior Fellow: LearningTech's Story

Recommended Posts

Son of Samurai

Last year, we introduced a way for a technician at Appliantology to earn a premium membership without paying a dime -- just by helping out in the forums.

Why would we do that? Sounds crazy, right?

It's because we value our community more than we value money. Like, way more. One good tech helping guys out in the forums is worth about a bazillion annual membership fees (bazillion is a technical term, by the way).

Today, on the anniversary of the day he first joined the site, one man has at last crossed the threshold into the inner circle: @LearningTech. Congrats, LearningTech, and thank you! You came a long way, and it totally paid off.

Here's a recap of LearningTech's epic journey:

  1. He created a free account at Appliantology, starting off as a humble Grasshoppah.
  2. He applied for a free limited tech membership, gaining access to some tech-only areas of the site.
  3. For the next year, he made over 1,000 helpful posts in the forums, uploaded a buttload of manuals, and was all around a swell guy. Then, today, having met the requirements, he applied for a Senior Appliantology Fellowship.

And now he has full, unrestricted access to everything Appliantology has to offer, with no payments and no recurring membership fees. Amazing what dedication and a helpful attitude will get you, huh?

Want to follow in LearningTech's footsteps and earn your own Senior Appliantology Fellowship without paying a thing? Click here to apply for a free limited tech membership, then get crackin' at helping out around the site.

Good job brofessor! I too have a Limited free membership, and was unaware of this opportunity to become the Real Deal Holyfield. So not only has your journey and accomplishment gave me valuable info, it's also given me inspiration and motivation to follow in your footsteps! (Hope you wear a 10 ½ shoe 😁 😟)

Awesome job bud

Will do sir! Thanks for all you've done for us little guys.. Appliance Repair is a dying art, and most of the ones that are still practicing choose not to teach and pass on their wisdom. You're a scholar and a gentleman Sensei, not to mention you've got a super cool name!
