If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Onegaishimasu!

Ice maker part number:   241798201 241798231

Acquired this fridge from some friends that were upgrading.  We tested in the garage before putting it in the kitchen.  The ice maker seemed to work fine (made 1/2 bin overnight), but since taking all the shelves, drawers and the ice maker out and doing a thorough clean and sanitize on the cabinet, drawers, and shelves, and putting back together, the ice maker is acting wonky.  Sometimes makes ice, sometimes not.  Sometimes I hear the ice drop and the water refilling, but sometimes the ice never drops.  I have tried to watch the cycle, and I have seen the ice get stuck at the top of the rotation, and it won't drop into the bin, so I clear that by hand and the cycle starts again; sometimes I hear the water filling the tray, but then the paddles never rotate that ice out, it just sits there.

Is this something that's easy to troubleshoot or a quick fix?  Should just get a new ice maker unit?  Will replacing the ice maker unit actually fix this problem?

I await the wisdom of the masters.
