All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

First look at the control panel on how to lock and unlock the control lock setting. It will have small writing and indications on the control panel around the lock feature button that will tell you which buttons to press and how long to press them in order to put  it in and out of a contol lock scituation.  See if it that unlock's  the panel.  If that does not work, thenTry rebooting the washer.  Unplug it for  20 minutes then plug it back in if you hadn't done that already.  It may let you take it out of the control lock mode selection then.  If not , you most likely have a button tab contact issue with the control in the panel   or the The  User Control and Display Board WP8182996 will need to be replaced.   Its an expensive control board so you might want to weight in the fact as to whether you want to put that kind of investment into the machine , according to its age.  It looks like your dryer might be 9 to 10 years old and you may be on the cusp of also needing to replace the obviouse tune up parts for your machine also.    Like the belt, drum wheels , Idler pulley with wheel. Stuff like that.  its a good dryer dont get me wrong.  Its worth fixing when you can get the parts at cost and do the repair yourself.   I hope this helps
