All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Dryer flashes filter check and high temp flashes. Does not start. Where to start troubleshooting. In the past, it has run just didn't heat with a bad thermister and a bad heating element. Now, nothing starts.

Check dryer output thermistor DC32-00007A and dryer thermal cutoff fuse DC47-00016A in the blower housing. Vacuum out the blower motor and fan and get your dryer vent cleaned. Make sure your connection hose isn’t pinched or restricted in any way.

The  belt tensioner melted off. I replaced it. same deal. It seems like it is stuck in a drying cycle. Check filter flashes three times and it doesn't start. I vacuumed the blower, blower duct and it is disconnected from in-wall duct.

Bad run thermistor? Check the thermistor and thermal cutoff in the blower housing.

Run dryer while exhaust duct disconnected to eliminate exhaust issue.

Thanks for the input. I replaced the belt tensioner, thermal fuse and thermistor and it is alive and well. Now, laundry mountain.....
