PDWT380V00SS GE Profile dishwasher makes high pitched noise

Hi all, so my dishwasher started making a loud high pitched hum during the wash cycles. It seems to drain just fine. I’m guessing a motor bearing is bad? How involved of a job is this?

Probably 1-2 hours from foreplay to cleanup. Remove toe panel. Turn off water supply, disconnect drain hose and water supply hose under sink, remove mounting screws and pull dishwasher out until you can lay it on it's back. The rest is pretty self evident if you're even a little mechanically inclined. Have you pulled the spray arm off and cleaned out the sump area to ensure that there isn't anything in the pump intake that could be causing the issue? Easy to rule out and way less time invested if it's all clear.

Hi Matt, I will try checking the sump before I go ordering the bearing.  Thanks for the info!
