i have a Frigidaire dehumidifier, model FAD504DWD18. When turned on, the compressor and fan come on normally and unit will run for 3-5 min at which time the fan cycles off with the compressor still running. The noise level then increases, i assume as result of the compressor experiencing higher condensor pressure due to the fan not running. If i turn the unit off, the compressor continues to run until i unplug the unit and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Once plugged back in and turned on, the cycle repeats.
