Fixing and putting my Haier HLP21n back together

My wonderful little portable washer stopped washing, probably more than a year ago now. I tried this and that until I concluded it was related to the lid being broken. I ordered a replacement lid and the little plastic pin that went with it, and it took a long time to realize, with the help of a fixit clinic, that the latter was not fitting because it was too big. Luckily I had the original and put it in the new lid.

That should solve everything but I can't get the lid and pin to fit in its hole. Furthermore, I took more of it apart and neglected to photograph it first. So now I have a sort of spring that I have no idea where it goes among other loose parts, and so my washer is still in pieces.

Since it stopped working, I have tried finding an appliance repair guy but nobody will work on a Haier portable. "Just buy another," they say. I have considered that but this model is no longer available.

If there is anyone in the San Diego area who would like to practice their skill fixing and putting together my washer, I would be very grateful!

I tried using the "insert image from URL" button but it didn't take my URL: https://imgur.com/a/9YK1wbG

I used to work on haier and thankfully not anymore

i bet it’s a 2 fold lid ?

the spring I can’t say where it goes without looking at it as it’s been a while but what I can tell you iirc the only purpose for the spring is so when you fold the lid up that it  doesn’t fall back down

when you close the lid there is usually a tab that contacts a micro switch

iirc the pin goes in the righ hand side and clicks into place

iirc the spring goes on the lhs , likely find a couple of pinholes

just check a couple of haier service manuals and there is sfa in them and showing nothing about the lid assembly
