Dishwasher not engaging wash cycle

Recommended Posts

nicyoung07

Hi

I have a whirlpool dishwasher, model wdf760sadm2. The water will fill up normally into the machine but, will not engage the wash cycle. I have noticed there is no sound from the machine when it is supposed to be washing. The water drains from the machine like it should. I have double checked the filter and spray jets for any clogs and found nothing.

Have you checked your wash motor? I had a KitchenAid this morning that did the same thing. Control board is sending power and pump does nothing. Check the resistance on your wash pump. Probably 5-50 ohms but that info should be available in the tech sheet behind the kick plate insulation
