Samsung RFG237AARS icemaker not working

Recommended Posts

Ice maker started making chunk of ice jamming up ice maker. Replaced 3 ice makers 2 refurbished and 1 brand new one. First one leaked, second one made ice but would not drop into bucket.  Replaced water control valve. Went on vacation for 9 days. Frig was empty. Came back and ice maker working fine. For 2 weeks. So I replaced whole back panel with new fan included. Change new temp sensor also. Still nothing. No codes water fills tray but no ice. Had tech come out and check. He said everything I done he would have recommended. He found no flow of air to ice maker when closing all doors. Used magnet to make like door closed. When he popped open freezer door. The flow of cold air came to ice maker. Turns off when closing freezer door. He said he thinks hose is frozen stopping air flow to icemaker. Told me to defrost refrigerator for a couple of hours then recheck if ice maker works. He said known problem on Samsung,LG, and whirlpool. Poor insulation for hose. Does this sounds right?
