Bosch Dishwasher Error / Draining Issue?

Recommended Posts

I have a Bosch 100 Series (I think) dishwasher. It is roughly 8 years old.

It was running fine until last Friday. I turned it on and got an E:01 code. I have researched this code online and I feel like I have a decent understanding of what could be wrong and that is an issue with the heater.

I've also noticed that it appears as if the water isn't fully draining from the bottom of the dishwasher. I removed the hose that runs from the dishwasher to the disposal and cleaned it out. I also cleaned out the air gap and hose. I checked the drain the best I could.

I'm still getting the code. I've tried to reset the dishwasher - but it won't reset. It's like the control board is frozen. I've unplugged the dishwasher and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.

1) Could there be any connection between it not draining and the error code?

2) Does it mean anything that I cannot even get it to reset?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

1) No. Either your heat pump is out or the control is bad

2) You May be caught in a cycle. Look for a button or buttons that say “cancel.”
