This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

LG Washer -WM2450HRA - have to unplug before use

brk

Recommended Posts

After the washer sits for a while, it requires unplugging/replugging to get it to turn on again.

It has done this one or twice over the many years we have had it.  Now it is every time.

Searching around, it appears that the main computer board is the most likely suspect.  I've also read that the noise filter could be the cause, but that appears to only have windings so I'm not sure if that would resolve by a power cycle.  Anyway, the main board is no longer available.  Anywhere.  Well, there is one on eBay that says "tested", but with an intermittent problem I'm not sure it's worth the investement?

Any suggestions?  Or do I start shopping for a new set?

Try spinning the drum to boot it up.

Usually NOT the mainboard in my experience. It is the front board or the Uuse interface UI

there is a bullitin from lg out on the internets, with test procedure,  but cant find it just now
