All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

We have a Fisher & Payel model DD605 when top unit is used we end up with about 2 quarts of water in bottom unit when the top unit is finishing its wash/rinse cycle.  No codes show.  Looking for some guidance on possible fixes?   Thanks!😩

You have problems with the drainage

it’s either blocked or not installed correctly

  • 2 weeks later...

The dishwasher has been installed for 10 years and has operated properly except for the last 2 months when we started to notice water collecting in the bottom cabinet after top finished its cycle.  So it can not be poor installation.  I have run a plastic line through one of the drain holes and it comes out near the filter.   There is another drain hole that I have tried to run the line through but it only goes in approx 4"    Not sure if this is the drain line that has a back up restricter valve preventing the line from going through.  Do I have to completely remove the bottom drawer and take off the drain line to see if it is open??

Ok first thing is check the condition of the rotor , the bottom part of it is what does the drainage

So you checked the tube that runs from the filter to the rotor is cleared , right where that hole comes out there is a piece of plastic moulded , this should be in good condition and not damaged as this piece of plastic is called the land and it’s job it to direct the water down the drain hole , but if it’s damaged then the water will just circulate

the other hole you found on the other side of the land is the drain hole and there is a 1 way flapper valve in there , these can swell up over time and get stuck , this can be accessed from underneath the drawer

btw if it’s a 603 it’s 2007 or earlier
