Sharp Refrigerator

Water is getting accumulated at the bottom of fresh food compartment. We have to remove the water from there twice or three times a day because it's dripping onto the kitchen floor when we open the door. What could be the problem?

You can get better help by providing a model number of your appliance.

Try to figure out if the water is coming from the ice maker, water dispenser, or during the defrost cycle 2-3 times a day.

Brand: LG
Model: GR-292SLQ

When water gets accumulated and it starts spill onto the kitchen floor, we clean it off. It takes a quite a while for water to show up again. I did a google search and some people suggested to look for the drain hole and check if it's not clogged. I could not find such a hole in my refrigerator.

The freezer seems little slower. The fish in the freezing compartment is not as solid as before but it's not too bad either.

It's possible that the drain is clogged, and that is causing poor defrost and warmer temperature in the freezer.

The drain hole should be located inside the freezer. Remove everything from the freezer, including the back wall to see evaporator coils. Under the evaporator should be the drain hole. Pour some hot water inside the hole and make sure it drains well. The clog could be on the bottom of the refrigerator next to the compressor where the drain tube exits the fridge.

If you don't want to do disassembly, try unplugging the fridge for at least 24 hours with open doors, and see if all the ice melts and drains out. Maybe it helps.
