Kitchen aid side by side model KSCS25FJSS01 Fridge Warm

Oh wise one, the fate of my fridge food is in your hands.

I have a Kitchen aid side by side model  KSCS25FJSS01 manuf  March 01. The refrigerator is now at 60 and will not seem to get colder.  I tried to clean the Condenser coils, I checked that the condenser fan was running (assuming that the fan in the back of the unit by the compressor is the condenser fan. I listened in the freezer and can hear a fan running. The freezer is cold as well.  I would like to know what you would suggest I look at next.

I pulled the panel off the back of the inside of the freezer and examined the evaporator coils. There was some frosting on the sides, but no large or thick buildups.  I used a hairdryer to remove the frost and re-installed the panel. The fan appears to blow well. Unfortunately, the refrigerator is still at 58 degrees and the freezer is at -5 degrees.

I see that the fan pushes the cold air from the evaporator up a channel to the top of the freezer where it is routed to the refrigerator. There is also a vent to the fresh food bins.  When I put my hand in front of the top vent in the refrigerator, I can feel the air coming in, but it is not blowing very hard.  Is there an electric vent flap or damper that may not be working?.  What other areas would you recommend I look at ?  I will email you my phone number as well.

Thanks

Peter

Peter, I emailed you the tech sheet, which shows how to put the control into Test Mode, and a breakdown diagram of the air damper assembly. Let me know what you find from that. You can either post here, email me back, or call me at 603-526-7129.
