Back in March of this year noticed unit was not cooling. Called out repair company and defrost lamp(not sure of correct name) was replaced. Unit worked for about a month and a half. Symptoms of not cooling returned yet was intermittent. called company back but decided to wait since unit started working. July called company again after power outage and all that operated in the unit were the lights on the inside. Display was dead; no ice no water. By the time repair company came out unit was operating again. The only work performed was the wire harness at bottom of freezer door was visually inspected. In September the unit again quit cooling. This time the evap fan motor was found not working(had reported that the fan motor had been noisy but was never addressed). After motor arrived I installed motor after unplugging unit. After finished and plugging unit back once again only inside lamps were operating. I retraced my steps to see if something was left unplugged. Not finding anything put old motor back in and decided to wait for repair company. When they returned informed the that unit was once again in the state I'd been calling for. Tech said the problem was the main PCB. Before PCB arrived unit started working so I reinstalled motor and all seemed well. Replacement board came in and was installed. For last two days freezer and fridge temp has been fluctuating between +10 degrees on freezer and fridge. Besides finally replacing the unit what else can the problem be. Temps haven't made it up to where they have been 11 degrees freezer 52 degrees fridge.

Thanks!!!

Start off by checking which board was installed. Partselct and Sears parts direct show the board as wr55x10808.  If you have old board check the part on that one and should match the now board. There are a bunch of substution by the manufacturer to different boards, didn't look for any interchange information today. Some subs require the wire harness to be modified to work correctly.

would this number be on the board??? There are some numbers that are the same however appearance of new board is definitely different. The only numbers I see on old board front side is a sticker with 200D6221G022(DPA); backside 701130413.02GA under that number is SWS1293(REV.1) that I would take as part numbers.

Thanks!!!

Usually on a sticker, may not be there. Does the new one have a part number sticker or part number off the box.

on packing slip is does list the number WR55X10808 Board ASM Main Controller. The tech also ordered the board behind the front control panel. Would/could that be causing the fluctuating temperature issues. Things in freezer mainly bread and vegetables get soft then hard when temp goes back to correct setting. Also causing ice to melt and bog down motor that dispenses ice. I lowered the temp to freezer and fridge by one degree seems to help. Tech was suppose to come out today 10.30.20 yet got a notification that because the other board has not arrived they would not come until it does. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!
