All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

working on a GE side by side refrigerator, model # GSHL5KGXCCLS. in my last post, i had learned that i had been sold an incompatible control board. so i bought another control board.. but instead of sending me out a WR55X10942 as pictured. they sent me out a 200D6221G009. it does turn on the compressor and the compressor seems to be staying on ,but still after 12 hours, not cooling at all.. any ideas?. . is the board compatible? if so, am i looking at a bad compressor? is it posable that this board has the compressor going backwards ? i just dont understand what it might be. the temp sensors seem to be reading right, i"ve cleaned the coils, the fans are working, the unit is completely defrosted, the compressor relay clicks once and turns on.. its like its stuck in defrost mode, but the compressor is running.. any help would be greatly appreciated. before i start using it as target practice.

If the compressor is running there should be some kind of cooling.  Looking like a sealed system issue - leak, restriction or inefficient compressor.
