Hotpoint Side by Side Freezer not cold enough, Fridge not cold at all (GSH25JSRF SS)

Hi All,

I am experiencing the following problem with a side-by-side refrigerator (model number GSH25JSRF SS).

The freezer cools but will only get down to approx 34F and the fridge compartment is not cold at all. The condenser fan is running and the compressor appears to be working (is warm to touch). I have cleaned the condenser as best I can and have taken a look at the control board which does not appear to show any signs of burn out/damage.

Can anyone provide me with a possible diagnosis of this problem?

Additional info: I left the fridge plugged in all day yesterday and when I checked it last night the condenser fan was not running and the freezer had warmed up to 60F+, checking it again this morning, the condenser fan is running again and the temperature is in the mid 50Fs.

Looking at the flow chart on this forum it appears that is may be a sealed system failure however any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Having removed the back panel within the freezer, the evaporator coils are fairly heavily frosted in the top half (all except the top two coils). The bottom half of the coils are showing only light or no frosting. The evaporator fan appears to be running.

It definitely sounds like a sealed system,  however ice pattern is a little odd,  was the back  wall closed till you took the picture?

Lets wait till tomorrow and try taking another picture,  however make sure back wall in freezer is closed till you ready to take a picture and check it out
