Furnace not sending enough power to thermostat

I have a brand new furnace, installed in February.

In conjunction, I'm using a thermostat from HAI (home automation) that has a blue backlight.  Apparently, this thermostat needs more power than most, and newer high efficiency furnaces don't supply enough.  So, my automation dealer gave me a little module that hooks up to the furnace's white, yellow, and black leads (that go to the thermostat) which is meant to boost the power (something about pull-up resistors?).

When I hook it up, the thermostat now powers up, but the furnace runs continually (setting it to off, setting fan to off, etc, does nothing).

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks,

Shawn

Hello

Well this is a new one. Do U know what the power requirements of this new thermostat are? 24 VAC, 115 VAC.

That info would be helpful. Unfortunatly I've never heard of this brand HAI. Most of the digital stats I've seen still use 24VAC to operate.

Please post the new stats power requirements.
